How does a tour work?

Arrive 30 minutes early to check in at your starting location. There will be a table reserved for your group so feel free to grab a drink or a bite and hang out while we get everyone checked in. If you’ve pre-purchased drinks, we’ll have them chilled and ready in your onboard cooler.

Once on board, your two pilots will go over a quick safety briefing, then it’s time to turn up the music and get rolling!

You’ll make stops at local breweries, bars or restaurants, along with a photo stop, so there’s plenty of time to stretch your legs! Our classic Private and Individual Seat Tours make two 30-minute stops, while our Brunch and Late Night Tours make one 40-minute stop.

Your tour will end at our starting location or at a nearby venue of your choice so your group can keep the party going after the tour!

With all the pedaling and good vibes our groups rarely have leftovers! When should I arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.

How many people can ride?

Each bike holds up to 15 people. A minimum of 8 people is needed to operate. The bikes have electric pedal assist to make the experience pretty casual!

Who can ride?

All riders must be of legal drinking age (18) and must present valid identification.

How long is the Pedal Pub Tour?

Our classic tours are 2 hours long while our Brunch and Late Night Tours are 1.5 hours long.

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the predicted weather conditions. We ride rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Closed-toe shoes or sandals – we don’t recommend heels!

What if I can’t pedal?

No problem! There are 5 non-pedaling spots on each bike.Just make sure you bring some friends to do the pedalling for you.

Does the Pedal Pub have electric pedal assist?

Yes! It’s there to help on hills, and when you’re too busy singing!

Should I tip?

Tips are always appreciated. If you had a great time, a standard service industry tip is customary. Automatic gratuity of 20% will be added to corporate tours and any tours involving multiple Pedal Pub bikes.

Is parking available?

We strongly recommend using public transportation or an Uber/Lyft.

We recommend showing up early and enjoying a drink before the tour starts. That way you won’t stress about hitting traffic or construction and your tour won’t be cut short.

If you must drive, there is paid parking nearby. The closest paid parking lots are the Old Strathcona Theatre District Parking Lot located 8404 102 Street or there’s another large one, just south of MKT on Gateway Boulevard. There’s also plenty of street parking around 102 Street, north and south of Whyte Avenue. All options are within a 5-minute walk.

What is the cancellation policy?

A full refund will be issued for cancellations made more than 14 days in advance.

Cancellations made between 14 and 7 days in advance are eligible for either a 50% refund or a one-time reschedule. No refunds (including drink purchases and add-ons) or rescheduling are permitted for cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled tour.

What is the weather policy?

We ride rain or shine and honestly, some of our most fun tours have been in the rain! If it does rain, the bike’s roof keeps riders dry in light showers, there’s covered storage for your belongings and we’re stopping at bars along the way. Need extra coverage? We’ve got complimentary ponchos on all our bikes.

Honestly, getting a little wet often makes the ride more fun – rainy tours tend to be the most memorable.

For safety, tours are cancelled in the event of lightning or severe weather. In that case, you’ll get a full refund or the option to reschedule. Because the weather can change fast, cancellation decisions are made just before your tour starts.

Can we decorate the bike?

Absolutely! Decorations are welcome, provided they are socially-appropriate and don’t obstruct the view of your Pilot. Additionally, please note that we cannot cover our Pedal Pub logos or signs with decorations at any time.

CAN I RIDE IF I’M PREGNANT?

This is up to your discretion; if you have any concerns, we suggest checking with your doctor first.

I'M GLUTEN FREE... IS THAT OK?

First of all… damn, that sucks. What do you eat when you’re feeling sorry for yourself?! Your options are seriously limited… alas, they aren’t limited when you’re riding foot-loose and fancy-free aboard the Pedal Pub! In our pre-stocked coolers we keep a good inventory of gluten-free options such as canned vodka/sodas and delicious craft ciders – so fear not! The venues we will be visiting generally have a few great options as well, but that will differ depending on the establishment (some have GF beer, most have spirits, kombucha, etc.)
