What is the cancellation policy?

For customers who purchase Cancellation Protection during your booking:
Cancellation Protection is available for purchase at checkout. Customers have two options. You can either choose to protect 100% of your tour cost or protect 75% of your tour cost. Cancellation Protection gives you the freedom to cancel anytime up to 4 days before the scheduled date of your event. For example, if your tour event is on Saturday, you must cancel on or before Tuesday and if your tour event is on Friday, you must cancel on or before Monday. Cancellation Protection cannot be purchased after you book. Cancellations cannot be done by voicemail, and must be done via email to [email protected] or by speaking with a live associate on the phone (not by voicemail). Without Cancellation Protection, all bookings are subject to the standard Cancellation Policy. If you need to cancel and have purchased this Cancellation Protection, please call (888) 733-2580 ext. 1.

For customers who DO NOT purchase Cancellation Protection:
Full refund is issued if you cancel before midnight 7 days before the start of your tour (for example, a tour starting 1/15/21 @ 12 pm needs to cancel before 1/7/21 @ 11:59 pm, before midnight, to receive a full refund.). Refunds ARE NOT issued if you cancel after this time and may include applicable cancellation fees.

If you request to reschedule after this deadline, you will be charged a rescheduling fee. The fee depends on the # of days in advance that you reschedule and can range from 25% to 100% of tour price. Note that tours must be rescheduled for a date that’s no more than 6 months after the original tour date.

Same day re-schedules WILL incur a fee of 100% of tour price, no exceptions.

Is my tour cancelled if it rains?

Tours happen rain or shine, hot or cold! We recommend checking the weather forecast prior to booking your tour.

Many customers plan special events for their PedalPub tour so it is our policy that tours are NOT canceled by PedalPub causing a disruption to your plans unless these potentially unsafe weather conditions exist at the time your tour starts in downtown Baton Rouge area where the tours are conducted (hail, lightening, tornado). If you decide not to ride based on weather conditions that may not be perfect but is still safe, you will not receive a refund but you may (at Management’s discretion) be given an opportunity to reschedule for a later date & time.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and comfortable closed-toed shoes. Heels are not recommended. Consider bringing a jacket if the weather will be cool. We also have rain ponchos available for purchase.

What is the deposit policy?

Deposits are $100 for Private Tours and non-refundable & non-transferable if customer does not follow the Cancellation Policy exactly. This means if you cancel your tour, the deposit is non-refundable, or if you ask to reschedule your tour, the deposit is lost/cannot be transferred to a different date if you do not follow the Cancellation Policy.

Deposits are credited towards your total. The balance (total minus deposit) will be automatically charged to your credit card by midnight 7 days prior to your tour date (for example, a tour on 1/15/21 @12pm will automatically be charged the balance 1/8/21 @ midnight. Contact us prior to midnight if you would like to use a different card. Any cards that are declined will have their tour automatically canceled and deposit lost.

Can I book more than one Pedal Pub?

Certainly! Contact us at 888-PEDAL-80 to book multiple bikes or you may book it online.

What’s the difference between a private tour & a public tour?

A private tour is only for your group and no other customers can book a seat on your tour. This is perfect for birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties & company outings.

On an individual tour, seats are booked on a first come first served basis. This is perfect for single riders & groups smaller than 4 people, and it’s also good if you’re hosting a gathering but want each person to be responsible for booking their own seat.

Any of our tours can be booked as Private or Individual.

Is the price different if I book a private tour but have less than 16 people?

No. The price is the same regardless of number of riders since it is priced per bike, not priced per person.

Do I really have to pedal?

The Pedal Pub is designed for passengers to pedal while the bike’s e-assist motor engages when needed to assist passengers with pedaling. The are 4 non-pedaling seats on the bike. However, a minimum of 4-6 pedaling passengers are recommended for the best pedaling efficiency.

Do I tip my driver?

Tips are encouraged as our drivers work hard to ensure a safe & fun experience for all customers. If you had a great time, a standard service industry tip of 15-20% is customary. Our pilots take cash, Venmo, Cash App….or ask us to add the tip to your card after the tour.

Do we have to pay in advance?

Yes, just like you would pay for concert tickets, sporting event tickets, or other special event tickets in advance. Pedal Pub tours are pay in advance for public tours and private tours pay $100 deposit in advance – read Deposit Policy for more details. Walk-up bookings or payments are currently not accepted.

How far in advance should I book?

Because tours can book fast (especially popular times like evening & night tours), we recommend you book at least 1-2 weeks in advance for a typical tour or 1-2 months in advance for a special occasion ( birthday, bachelor/ette party, corporate outing, double-bike tours, etc.)
